Took the States and Capitals Five Star. Received the story, 'The Legend of Sleepy Hollow' by Washington Irving.
We read "Sleepy Hollow" with audio copy.
LIT HWK:Create a list of new and unfamiliar words in the text (to the middle of page seven).
Read pages 169-180 in your Lit textbook regarding poems of Bryant and Longfellow, and hand write a one to two page reaction to the POEMS in the textbook. PENMANSHIP IS IMPORTANT!
History Hwk: Create a vocab list from Chapter 1 Section 3 and Chapter 2 Section 1 in your History textbook for a possible pop quiz.
SPECIAL NOTE --> There will be a 'pop'-quiz coming soon covering the Introduction to American Romanticism in your Lit Book!
